Sorry I haven’t been here much… I’ve been very busy, and took a Friday or two off of work to get a few things done.
My mother in law (MIL) is in the hospital in the ICU after falling at home last Friday. She didn’t break anything, but she’s very weak and not very steady on her feet. They’re running all kinds of tests and hopefully she’ll get better and be out soon.
I actually had my Vette out last Saturday, at a show that our club did for an older people’s condo/assisted living facility. You can see some of the photos of the show here.
I’m actually taking a half day off today to go with my brother to see the movie "The Avengers”. Can’t wait… it’s supposed to be outstanding.
My mom’s doing fine… she’s getting excited about going to my daughters wedding in July.
Speaking of the wedding, I chose the song my daughter and I are going to dance with in our Father/Daughter dance. I cried like a baby when I first heard it. I hope you like it.
Well, on to something funny:
During a visit to my doctor, I asked him, "How do you determine whether or not an
older person should be put in an old age home?"
"Well," he said, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a
bucket to the person to empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," I said. "A normal person would use the bucket because it is
bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No" he said. "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the
window?"
