Well, as I said in my last post, the cruise was outstanding. The weather was 90 degrees every day, the breeze was just right, and we had fun no matter what we did.
While waiting to leave port in Fort Lauderdale, we were sitting on deck chairs on deck 5,
watching all the beautiful boats sail back and forth by us, we saw a manatee in the water! These shy creatures aren't often seen where there's a lot of traffic, so it definitely was a treat.
The picture at right was taken where we were watching the world go by, before we set sail. You can see it was a gorgeous day.
After the mandatory muster drill, we had a
wonderful dinner, then went back out on deck to see this beautiful sunset.
I knew at this point, I was going to have a great time. We had been on this same ship back last October, and we had the special key to the Concierge Club, where we met up with our friend Julian, the Concierge.
Sunday, we had a day at sea, where we just relaxed by the pool, and read some books we brought along (I brought along I Robot, but it's nowhere near what the movie was).
Make sure you come by Wednesday, I have an outstanding picture for Wordless Wednesday.. though I may end up posting a full post as there's so much to see.
I've put all my photos up on Photobucket, but I'm trying to arrange them, and then I'll post the link here hopefully Wednesday.
I'll have more soon.. just still picking up the pieces from being gone and all.
Caroldee, yes, I'm worried about Trucker Bob too.. haven't heard from him in ages.
Hope you all had a great Memorial Day!

Great start. I hope the manatees stop hanging around the ships, small or large -- that's how they get into trouble! It's actually a major problem and I think the number one killer of manatees.
But enough of that downer stuff. That's cool that you know the concierge and go back to him on subsequent cruises.
So glad you had such a great time...*smile* That's true, what Mark said, about the manatees, but they are fun to observe!
Looking forward to more pics, Dave!

Welcome home! It sounds like it was a cruise.
