372 – Mexico Review

The trip to Mexico was great! The resort was surprisingly gorgeous, with manicured grounds that befit a 5 star resort. Our room was extremely clean and newer, and we also had a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table.IMG_2031

At right, is a photo of the resort. Note, when you open the picture, we were staying at the far right resort, the Barcelo Maya Beach. Also note, the beach you see there, is over 2 miles long!

They also have a little train looking shuttle that brings people between resorts.

The resort never gave us a “crowded” feeling, actually the opposite, it was just perfect and there was never a line for anything.IMG_2028

The food and drink here were just great, and at right is the buffet dining area, surrounded by water with fountains! The people were friendly, the food very tasty and hot, and the bartenders very friendly. I tried a Mango Daquiri, and fell in love with them! *chuckling* Every night was a different themed dinner night, and surprisingly, it was always great.

The Beach. As you can see from the photo at right, it was just drop-dead gorgeous. The sand was raked at night, the water was around 90 degrees with small waves, and fish were everywhere! We even saw a stingray one morning!

More at another time… but suffice it to say, we had a great time!

Now to something funny:

Rye Bread

Two old guys, one 80 and one 87, were sitting on their usual park bench one
morning.
The 87 year old had just finished his morning jog and wasn't even short of
breath.
The 80 year old was amazed at his friend's stamina and asked him what he did
to have so much energy.
The 87 year old said, "Well, I eat rye bread every day. It keeps your energy
level high and you'll have great stamina with the ladies."
So, on the way home, 80 year old stops at the bakery.  As he was looking
around, the lady asked if he needed any help.  He said "Do you have any Rye
bread?"
She said, "Yes, there's a whole shelf of it. Would you like some?"
He said, "I want 5 loaves."
She said, "My goodness, 5 loaves ... by the time you get to the 3rd loaf,
it'll be hard."
He replied, "I can't believe it, everybody knows about this shit but me."

That’s it for today people… have a wonderful weekend!
