157 - 3 Days to Go!
Yes, 3 days of work, then Thanksgiving. We bought the turkey today (a 20 pounder), and got just about all the trimmings. I love waking up to the smell of turkey cooking on Thanksgiving (we usually put it in the oven at around 5am!).
Then, Saturday morning we head to the airport to Orlando Florida, where we take the shuttle to Port Canaveral, and meet our friends at the pier. I'm very excited to see them again (every vacation with them is just perfect), and it'll be a great time, I'm sure. We have some wonderful things planned for each stop, so it'll be non-stop fun.
I'll only be posting this week, Monday and Wednesday, then I'll be off till Monday the 8th of December.
I bought a new DVD this past week, and if you haven't seen it, check out WALL E from Disney/Pixar pictures. It's outstanding. My daughter came over last night and we all watched it.
Well, on to the funny for today:
Three men died on Christmas Eve and were met by Saint Peter at the pearly gates.
'In honor of this holy season' Saint Peter said, 'You must each possess something that symbolizes Christmas to get into heaven.'
The first man fumbled through his pockets and pulled out a lighter. He flicked it on. 'It represents a candle', he said.
'You may pass through the pearly gates' Saint Peter said.
The second man reached into his pocket and pulled out a set of keys. He shook them and said, 'They're bells.'
Saint Peter said 'You may pass through the pearly gates'.
The third man started searching desperately through his pockets and finally pulled out a pair of women's panties.
St. Peter looked at the man with a raised eyebrow and asked, 'And just what do those symbolize?'
The man replied, 'These are Carols.'
And So The Christmas Season Begins......
Have a wonderful Monday!

Wall-E is, indeed outstanding.
We still travel to someone else's house for Thanksgiving and eat the bird they cooked (but we're sleeping under the same roof as Dad puts it in the oven in the middle of the night).
Your trip sounds great. Beats the work trip I will do the week following the Thanksgiving weekend.
Hmmm...i wonder if there's such a thing as "productive jealousy" for i need to do something about being jealous of your upcoming cruise? *smile*
Have a great Thanksgiving, my friend, and surround yourself with your family's love!
Yours,
michelle ('lil o)
Hi Dave ~~ Happy Thanksgiving to all the family. And that vacation is getting close now. Have a wonderful time and forget about blogging for awhile. We will still be here afterwards. The Russians used a pencil LOL. Have a good week Dave. Regards, Merle.
