159 - Back From Vacation!
And, we got some good news in an email while we were on the trip. Seems my MIL went and had her PET scan while we were away, and they found no more cancer in her at all! Because of this, she can get a lower dose of chemo when she gets it.
Now, to the vacation.. it was wonderfully restful. We didn't get to do things on two of the islands that we had planned on, (cave tubing in Belize and the resort at Roatan Honduras). The ship got in late to Belize, and we wouldn't have had time to cave tube, and the day started out around 70 degrees and overcast.
When we left for the cruise, my daughter wanted us to see if we could find her a nice ring with 3 oval tanzanite pieces in it. Believe it or not, we found it the first night, right on the ship! They do have great deals there, they were having a special on Tanzanite, and they had the exact ring she wanted. We bought it right there and my daughter loves it!
The picture to the right was taken on Sunday, as we were cruising towards Cozumel Mexico. It was a beautiful day at sea, and we made the most of it. We sat out on deck, swam, hit the hot-tub, and generally did things fun on-board.
Cozumel was great, we did some shopping as we always do.. and of course, we hit the Tequila bar, and found some great stuff!
More Wednesday, as I'm still unpacking, but now for a funny:
BELIEVE it or not , These are Nashville , TN's REAL 911 Calls!
Dispatcher : 9-1-1 What is your emergency?
Caller: I heard what sounded like gunshots coming from the brown house on the corner.
Dispatcher: Do you have an address?
Caller: No, I have on a blouse and slacks, why?
Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What is your emergency?
Caller : Someone broke into my house and took a bite out of my ham and cheese sandwich.
Dispatcher : Excuse me?
Caller : I made a ham and cheese sandwich and left it on the kitchen table and when I came back from the bathroom, someone had taken a bite out of it.
Dispatcher : Was anything else taken?
Caller : No, but this has happened to me before and I'm sick and tired of it!
Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What is the nature of your emergency?
Caller: I'm trying to reach nine eleven but my phone doesn't have an eleven on it.
Dispatcher: This is nine eleven.
Caller: I thought you just said it was nine-one-one
Dispatcher: Yes, ma'am nine-one-one and nine-eleven are the same thing.
Caller: Honey, I may be old, but I'm not stupid.
My Personal Favorite!!!
Dispatcher: 9-1-1 What's the nature of your emergency?
Caller: My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two minutes apart
Dispatcher: Is this her first child?
Caller: No, you idiot! This is her husband!
And the winner is..........
Dispatcher: 9-1-1
Caller: Yeah, I'm having trouble breathing. I'm all out of breath.
Darn...I think I'm going to pass out.
Dispatcher: Sir, where are you calling from?
Caller: I'm at a pay phone. North and Foster.
Dispatcher: ! Sir, an ambulance is on the way. Are you an asthmatic?
Caller: No
Dispatcher:
What were you doing before you started having trouble breathing?
Caller: Running from the Police.
Have a great Monday!

Great pic off the back of the ship. I'm surprised I could see it, since it seems to be on Picasa. Our filters usually block that service.
Glad to hear you had a nice trip. Also glad that you didn't get attacked by pirates.
Welcome back! Now back to work!... *heh*
Welcome home...you've been terribly missed! *grin*
Yours,
michelle ('lil o)
