174 - C-C-C-COLD!!!
Well, when I left for work Thursday morning, it was 11 degrees out, with a wind chill below zero. The high on Thursday maybe got to 17. When I got home, I fired up the wood stove, and got a nice fire going in it. The way our house is situated, the wood stove heats the whole house. The weather forecast is supposed to be very cold all weekend long too. The high Friday is supposed to be around 14.
Mike H, see my comment on Wednesday's blog on your question.
Mark, how come your Twitter isn't on your blog anymore? Also, what's the little lock next to your name for?
How about the plane crash in the Hudson River! Wow.. could you even ask for a better result for an airplane going down!
Merle, I see it was 109 degrees down under on Thursday! Don't you have air conditioning? Wow... I'd be moving to the hills with that kind of heat. I'm praying for nicer weather for you.
Here's hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend. Here's something to keep you chuckling:
9 Words Women use
(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!
(5) Loud Sigh: This is not actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)
(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').
(8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F-- YOU!
(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.
Have a great weekend all!

Hello Dave ~~ Sorry it has been so very cold for you. 11 F is -12C and too cold for me. The 109 F day coincided with work being done on the water pipes and so we had no water until after 4 pm. Then the air conditioner went on at last. A fan doesn't cool much. Glad you enjoy my posts and jokes. Had a great time with my cousins. The 9 words women use is a good warning for men !!!
Take care, my friend, Best wishes, Merle.
So sorry the winter is so cold for you. It's been absolutely wonderful here!
Those nine words...aren't you glad not all women communicate like that?
Yours,
michelle ('lil o)
